Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
3 ripe bananas
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips, divided
1/2 cup toasted walnuts, chopped, divided
** 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
**You can replace the self-rising flour with
the same amount of all-purpose flour + 1 tsp baking soda + 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
1. Preheat Oven to 350?F.
2. Toast walnuts for about 10 min and chop them after they cooled down.
2. In the meantime butter the sides and corners of a bread loaf pan and line it with a perchament paper
2. In a mixing bowl using paddle attachment, beat eggs and sugar for a couple of minutes. Add melted butter.
3. Mash bananas with a fork and add them to the mixing bowl along with vanilla extract. Mix until blended.
4. Sift the flour using the sifter, add it to the mixing bowl and mix until incorporated on the lowest speed.
5. Fold in most of the chocolate chips and walnuts and transfer the dough into prepared bread pan.
Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips and nuts over the top and bake at 350?F for 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let banana bread to cool at least for 10-15 min before taking it out of the pan.
